Kids Can Write

Janus Education is now offering regular programmes for children ages 10 to 16. Join our group of creative educators as we guide children through two core programmes:

Reading into Writing (Pri 3-5)

A unique combination of 4-best-selling programmes, to help your child understand and grasp the nuances of English, with modules on common difficulties in grammar and composition, reading comprehension, vocabulary development and narrative structures. The application activities of these three programmes enable learning in a variety of creative and exam-oriented contexts.

Intensive English Programme (Sec 1-3)

A perennial favourite with its highly-interactive formula designed to tackle ongoing obstacles for success in Paper 1 and 2 in the “O” levels. Weakness in grammar, sentence construction, composition, comprehension and oral are targeted. Small groups, individual marked work, and achievement profiles help weaker students progress.

She shattered the traditional Japanese male enclave when she became the only woman editor-in-chief of two Japan-based magazines published in Singapore, a position she held for seven years.

That’s Life Chapter 2

July 25, 2011: I come from a Catholic family, and go to church every Sunday morning. So when it was time for me to enter primary one, Daddy decided to put me to Kellock Convent. The old Kellock Convent was on the premises of St Bernadette Church in Zion Road, an imposing two-storey white-washed building.

What Inspires You to Write?

July 29, 2011: To date, I have close to 15 volumes of unpublished prose and poetry under my wing. Most of these volumes have been read by friends and colleagues, but have never seen the light of a publishing contract or a copyeditor’s peering eyes. They have always been a personal collection, all stacked away in the confines of the sanctuary I once called my bedroom.

CLIMBING TO THE TOP

July 15, 2011: The search for the region’s best young authors and digital storytellers is on. We’ve received calls from everywhere, emails from as far as Indonesia and Cambodia, and believe us when we say we are both thrilled and overwhelmed with the amount of response we are receiving for the Young Author Awards and the DigiTales Awards.
