This is a highly-intensive programme, which helps students overcome common difficulties with English grammar. It fills gaps in grammar foundation and moves to applications in a wide range of exam-oriented contexts.
In English Rules! we use humour, team games, role play and sheer hard work to overcome the problems that have dogged your child’s writing.
It is an exciting new approach for students to read and comprehend stories and reports, predict word meanings, link ideas, and learn to question what they have read.
There is a little time in a packed primary curriculum to diagnose the source of the grammatical problems all students face to some degree, so we have done what busy teachers have no time to do: we have isolated the sources of common grammatical problems and tackled them in a carefully-sequenced fashion that students find very enjoyable.
The module analyses and addresses the problems students have with context clues, tone, nuances of language and the thrust of exam questions.
Gives a vocabulary booster-shot in the arm and it broadens your child’s self-esteem, range of expression and comprehension skills.
Children’s stories come alive as they immerse into a writing programme that mentors them through genre-specific storywriting.
The Wicked Writers, Terrible Tales takes students through the compelling and magical world of creating one’s own world through words. Through a series of compelling lessons, students learn to respond imaginatively and accurately to narratives. It challenges students to develop powerful and effective writing styles. Students are introduced to text selected for their lively writing style and characterisation. They are then encouraged to launch their own interesting narratives.
