Faith Teo Yi Ning
Since young, I have always been an avid reader. From Enid Blyton to Percy Jackson, I’ve read them all. When I entered primary school, my teachers realised I had a flair for writing. So, in Primary 5, I was selected for the Young Author Scheme. I loved it! There was so much inspiration, and so many ideas. I could write whatever I wanted. So many ideas started flowing in. I learnt a lot; not just from my teacher, Ms Catherine Khoo, but from my peers as well. They were all so, so talented! This was definitely the experience of a lifetime!

I took out a piece of paper with the words, ‘If you want to avenge your pathetic friend, Aria, meet me in the old warehouse on Sixth Avenue tonight’ scrawled on it, written by yours truly. I then ran back to class and left the note under her desk. As Allison came back to class, fighting back tears, she picked up the note and sighed in exasperation as she read it. We locked eyes and she mouthed the words ‘It’s on.’
