Hi, I’m Amruthavarshini Thyagaraj. I am seventeen years old and I study in DPS International School, Singapore in grade 12 ISC. I was seventeen when I wrote this story in March of 2020 and I hope that the readers enjoy reading my book as much as I enjoyed writing this!

I am thankful to the entire team of YAA for providing me with this opportunity to take a baby step into the world of writing. The young author scheme has enabled me, a journal scribbler, to take the proverbial leap into the world of serious writing. Books have been the one constant companion to me throughout my life, ones that I have turned to time and again to seek comfort from. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother, my grandfather and all the English teachers I’ve had, for inculcating in me a lifelong passion for stories.

For me, books are like chocolate, they simply have to be devoured in one go!
