I am Kerlyn Tan, studying at Henry Park Primary School. I am the book author of “The Key of the Two Worlds”, written when I was 9 years old. My hobbies are ice-skating and reading. My favourite authors are J. K. Rowling and Rick Riordan. My ambition is to become a writer, if not a lawyer. My passion for writing blossomed when I was 9. This was probably because of Mrs Wong, my P4 Form Teacher, who had often praised and read my compositions to the class. This really motivated me to write even better. I am also grateful to Mrs Wong, who had chosen me to take up the YAS course. If not for her, I would not have written my first book with YAS.My learning journey with YAS was short but I thoroughly enjoyed the fun-filled class, never a dull moment, was lead by Ms Khoo. She is always friendly, approachable and equally inspiring like Mrs Wong. I was always eagerly looking forward to attending her class to learn new writing techniques. I am now certain that I aspire to be an author.
