Nicole’s my name and writing’s my game. So far, I’ve written one proper story entitled Horn Bearers, which I wrote in Primary 5, when I was a 10-year-old student in Haig Girls’ School. I love reading too, mainly adventure, mystery and science fiction books. Horn Bearers, the story I wrote, is about the conflict between good and evil, greed and justice. I love reading. And I. Love. Writing. Whenever people ask, do you want to be a writer, I have to admit that I’d think, no; I’ve always been a writer. As they say, the pen is mightier than the sword. I’d say writing takes me into a whole other dimension, a completely different world, one that’s full of life and filled with possibilities. It reminds me that I’m alive. I’ve always had that writing spark in me, but I haven’t actually written a proper book until last year, during the Young Author Scheme. The Young Author Scheme helped ignite that spark in me, and bam! I wrote over 1000 words for my first book, Horn Bearers. I never really thought I could do it, until now…
