Biography

I am thirteen years old, a Year 1 student in SCGS. I was twelve when I wrote Dedoublee while preparing for PSLE in HPPS. I got inspired to write this story from reading a medical book on patients who suffered from split personality. My first attempt at writing short story was when I was in Primary two.

I enjoy writing because it is a good avenue for me to be imaginative, to tell stories of different experiences. I can create a world that is different from mine and to express topics and messages to readers to see things from different perspectives. Writing allows me to stay focused and helps me relieve stress.

The Young Author Scheme has provided an opportunity for budding young writers to develop and explore their writing skill. Though the process of creating a story, the book cover, and having a book being showcase, that definitely allow young writers to enhance on their writing skills and boost their confidence.
